The young artist Cecilya Mestres has an important career path in the music scene. Still in her twenties, she’s now a recognized blues, classic rhythm’n’blues and rock’n’roll singer.
These last three years, the singer has toured around Spain, Argentina, Austria & Germany. In 2019, she’s starting her career in France.
Cecilya was born in Vilafranca del Penedès, Barcelona in 1992. She started studying music at the age of three, acquiring musical language, singing and piano knowledge in differents schools of Catalonia.
Studied Media and Communication in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Glyndwr University, not forgetting her passion for music while training in different disciplines of musical theatre (singing, vocal technique, interpretation and dancing) at Escola Superior d’Art Dramàtic Eòlia, Vocal Factory and Aules. Being on stages since she was 14, during this period she also sang and composed in different bands of different styles.
In addition, between 2007 and 2014 she completed her training with an extensive work in Estill Voice Training either in Barcelona and in London, with teachers such as Anna Valldeneu, Alexandra Morales, Viv Manning, Daniel Anglès, Paul Farrington and Anne Marie Speed.
She’s been living in Mallorca since 2015 and she’s become a must in the local scene. She's toured around the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Mallorca, Minorca & Formentera) playing in different venues and festivals, sharing stage with artists such as Mike Sanchez. Cecilya is also recognized as she has been in the spanish version of the famous TV program “The Voice” in 2017.
In 2018, Cecilya has been on tour all around Argentina as a solo artist hand in hand with the guitar player Nacho Ladisa supported by the “Buenos Aires Blues School” and “Blues en Movimiento” association. She has started 2019 playing around Austria and Germany with Nacho Ladisa and the Vienna Blues Association.
In France, Cecilya has the pleasure to play with an all-star band lead by the great guitar player and singer Francky Gumbo.
